Life with Boundaries is different!

For years I have suffered in relationships with people - people whom I loved: like family and lovers. I didn't realize what was wrong - why I felt so drained with them. Even after feeling so much love towards them - I felt like they were not giving back to me enough. I have felt out of control of situations with people, and I couldn't figure it out why. Then recently after facing a emotionally abusive relationship - I was forced to say NO. I said NO, you can't do this anymore with me and it is your fault. And that one NO changed my life. I realized it's okay to say NO to people and let them deal with it. I said NO again to many other people who were used to overstep my boundaries. I feel happier, much much happier. Surely, I am alone and those people chose to go out of my life - but hey? You don't need to be in relationship to feel happy and feel loved.

I am just writing this post to express that I feel your pain. All those who aren't able to say NO and feel hurt when they say it to others. How the fear of being abandoned makes them live in abusive relaitonships. I wanna tell you, one day when you will have enough of it - you will get out of it and realize that life was meant always for the precious you!!

I have recently joined as Listener here and I would love to help others. Everything is gonna be fine!

Thank you for your post! I remember when I learned to use the word NO, I thought I would pass out from the tension and fear I felt. My life is so different now because I do what I can when I can, no more resentments.
