I struggle with depression although I'm in a really healthy relationship and he supports me so much and helps me as much as I can. Hes honestly really great although i fear that I might be stressing him or draining him emotionally always trying to keep me happy. I sometimes think its probably better to let him go because I dont want him to be around someone (me) who's in a constant negative mind space. Please let me know if anyone has been in this situation and what they do about it.

Hi, baby doll! I can really relate on what you are saying because I had a similar experience in the beginning of my relationship with my current boyfriend. After we both graduated college together, he had a job and I didn't. He would text me when he's at work, but when he gets off, he's a totally different person. For months, we had this odd connection between us until I thought about breaking up with him. We were both emotional about it because we both fell in love with each other for a reason. We went out to dinner one time and we talked. We cried and hugged each other.

Depression is not a joke and it is a nerve-wrecking experience. One thing that I realized was that we were at a crazy point in our lives where he was trying to be motivated to get back in school and I was struggling to find a job and go back to school. I can say that one thing that I did to take it day by day was write. I love writing because I find it therapeutic for me. Instead of writing, "Dear Diary," I write, "Dear God" in my way of praying to him. This may not work for you but I would say try and see how it goes with it.

I definitely would highly suggest that you talk to your spouse. If you are in a healthy relationship, you should communicate your feelings to him. It sounds like he is an amazing guy and that he would go out his way to do what he can for you and that means a lot! Talk to him and do not run away from your problems. Take it from me, if you run away to the problems that are staring at you in your face and you are taking the easy road, it will follow you and it will haunt you. And it can get in the way of your relationship. If you need time to adjust and to think about some things, feel free to do so. But do not run away from your spouse if you have not talk to him about it yet. He deserves to know and if you want him to be there for you, don't push him away.

Do not let the mental demons control you! You take control and do something about it.
