Moving Forward
Hi, comments are welcome.
A few years ago my first love broke up with me. I was heartbroken. I genuinely did not think I would feel so strongly about someone else ever again. I continued on with life. Eventually grew into a better person. Now there's this girl. I have known her 3 years but she had always just been a friend to me. We started getting closer and talking more a few months ago, and I am proud to say I really really REALLY like her. We get along great despite being a little opposite personality wise. I'm more reserved while she's more outgoing. The moments we share alone are the best and always so much fun. Who knew a simple game of UNO could make someone laugh so much!? I have told her that I like her and would like to be more than a friend, but unfortunately she finds it unfair for her to be with someone like me when she isn't ready. I completely understand her position since she's still getting over a past relationship. I told her that I am here to support here and that she's worth waiting for. Even if we don't end up together, I just want her to be happy. She's so precious to me and we have big futures ahead of ourselves. So glad we're mature enough to not let this get in the way of our friendship. Also planning to ask her to prom with an original song and take her horseback riding so wish me luck.
Anyways, I think this first post of mine went well. If there's a lesson in this it's that love comes at unexpected times, so don't be discouraged when things don't work out the way you want them to.
