My BF lied to me
I'm not even quite sure how to word this. Very long story short, my boyfriend has what I'll call a "sex bag", and in it he has multiple objects that he bought in a previous relationship (we haven't used any of it, even though I've asked and offered). A few months after he and I moved in together, I asked him if he still had a certain thing from that bag because I thought we could use it and he told me that he threw it away. I got upset about it because our sex life isn't vanilla at all, and the object I asked about was something I had even pointed out that I would want for a birthday or chirstmas gift and he offered to buy me one (and then never did). He said threw away everything from the bag except for a paid of handcuffs because, "he never thought he would use them again."
We're currently in the process of moving into a new apartment together and while I was cleaning out the closet I found an Amazon box with the bag inside, and every item (including the one I asked to use that he specified had been thrown out) was in there. He was at work when I found it, and I just out it right back in place. But obviously I'm upset. I don't know why he would lie to me about it. If he didn't want to use the things in the bag, he could just say that. He's said no before and I've NEVER gotten upset about it. But now that I know he just straight up lied about it, I don't know what to do. Should I confront him, or just let it go.?
Hey there!
I can see how finding out that your boyfriend lied about something can be really upsetting and it also doesn't make much sense given you're always considerate of things he might not want to do.
Communication is the key to resolving most situations around us and if this has been something that really bothered you, you could always give it a shot by telling him you found the bag and just wanted to clarify why he lied to you about it.
