love is careless & free.. it lets you put your guard down, it lets you trust, open up & do things you never thought you‘d do. Youre happily falling in love but then again, everything that falls .. breaks! love breaks us, it leaves a wound so deep, that you feel like youll never be whole again.. honestly love is just about the stupidest thing in the world. you open yourself up to someone. Right? Trusting them.. & you hope, you pray, you beg God they dont hurt you, but the story always has the same ending. Or you know what.. maybe just maybe .. love is really just a figment of our imagination.. maybe its just something we created thinking this is how its suppose to be, this is how Im supposed to feel, this is how Im supposed to get treated .. which is why we always end up getting hurt.. we always get treated like were nothing as they claim to love us. And we accept it with all the baggage and weight it leaves on us .. as we get cheated on, lied to, abused, left for someone else, get dropped with no explanation, get hurt in unspeakable & unimaginable ways .. but hey thats love, right?

Sometimes, yes. Here's a counter-proposal for you:

Love is learning to trust someone, taking a risk, opening yourself up again. Pain is good data -- it tells you what you need, what you didn't get last time. It helps you grow into the person you needed when you were younger. Someday, when you've learned enough from heartbreak, you may get a chance to meet someone whose love is not contingent upon good behavior. That's unconditional love, and if you can become a person who gives love unconditionally -- without expecting the other person to act a certain way in response -- you can heal your deepest wounds. Love is for yourself, too.
