Im a 21 year old father with a 3 year old son. My current partner is not the mother but she does the best she can with him. My story starts at about three months into the relationship. Where i started misbehaving. I started talking to girls online and flirting with them. I carried on doing so without a care for about 10 months. I got caught every time by my partner but i just didnt care. 7 months ago i just stoped, i had enough of hurting my partner and causing a lot of pain. Ever since i have been as faithful as can be. About a month ago my partner started distancing herself from me. I have never had true friennds until i met this guy which we instantly became the best of friends and my partner also became close friends with him too. Then a week ago my partner broke down in front of me and told me shes just not happy anymore with me or herself. I tried over and over to feel close to her but i think i just pushed her futher away. Then last weekend cane around where she told me she was going to stay at one of her work friends place for some timebapart and for her to have some girl time. at the same time my friend told me he was going to be at his mums the same weekend so he wont be able to see me. To many things clicked in my head and i started obsessing over it. I started thinking she wasnt at her friends and she was at his house doing who knows what. On the sunday when i was taking my son to the park i drove past a bus stop and caught her and my friend sitting at the bus stop and she

@rationalBirch6099 Being cheated on really does something to us women emotionally. I have been through something similar and I did ineviditably retaliate and cheat on my husband but I waited almost two years even though I know that was a horrible thing to do. Especially if you think you and your partner are happy and then find out they are cheating, it cause a feeling of betrayal and distrust that takes a long time to get over. If I had to guess, I would say she probably was with your friend but it was probably less about him and more about trying to validate herself. Being cheated on makes you feel like your not good enough or even good looking enough. As bad as it is, I think sometimes to move past that we also, have to go outside of the relationship to be reminded that someone would still want us. A relationship is nothing without trust and communication so if you can't work through your issues and get back to place where you truely trust each other, then there is no reason to continue the relationship. However I will say that usually it only takes one night to see that the grass isn't greener on the other side so the chances that this is an isolated occurence are pretty good. Best of luck!
