Performance anxiety

February 1st, 2017

Currently having issues with my sexual performance I seem to have a nagging voice in my head that works against me and causes our intimate times to be ruined. This is causing some what of a strain on our relationship and it is becoming stressful feeling like every time we get intimate in the back of my head I'm thinking please be ok this time and then it happens. I can't seem to disconnect my worries in my head during this time. It seems to be a vicious cycle and my partner is more fed up each time and seems to be getting less supportive and more annoyed towards me. I'm trying everything I can to clear my mind and talking in here is a new step. What else can i do ?

What are the thoughts that keep coming?

That it is going to go down... Which then happens because I worry about it.

I would try EXTENDED foreplay. Hopefully at some point 'things' will rise to the occasion. When it does- then proceed. Being in no rush takes some of the pressure off. Your not left worrying that it has to happen this instant

Getting stuck in an anxious cycle can be exhausting and seem impossible to break out of after a while. Were there any recent changes in your life that may be affecting you?
