Relationship advice needed** I need help
Such a long story. Bad Grammer and all. I apologize. Me and my wife have been together for 3 years now, have a 2 year old son and have been working at the whole life thing since our son was born. Our past has led up different ways ( we dated 10 years before this time) first love though and we came back to each other after years apart. Anyways. We had our son and then shortly after we moved from our hometown to another city due to living conditions and then the pandemic hit. That kinda changed the plans we had as far as our personal life went. She lossed her opportunities for jobs and things, I had to pick up another job and stuff like that. It got hectic and still is. Well few years later. I mean we had our bumps in the road like anyone does. But we have got thru some real tough things together. So the bumps here nd there shouldn't be anything. Well I have depression and so does she, I constantly feel anxious and almost paranoid. And this came on sorta when me and her weren't speaking for the years( had a lot go on in my personal life). In between our current relationship and our first try at it. Anyways. I always vent to her. Like dam near everyday I'll tell her how I'm feeling and all. I know it can be overwhelming or can imagine it would be. I've asked if I do too much or too little. Well lately I had felt like we were hitting a rough patch so I mentioned our relationship kinda getting rocky,( she started working a new job where when I wake up she's asleep and when I get home and she leaves for work. and she doesn't get in til morning) we been missing time together ( we live together so I guess this shouldn't have been a bad thing). so we tried texting about our relationship and it turned into me kinda blowing up and expressing these emotions I had been bottling due to my depression. I try to vent to her about my frustrations and depression, anxiety all of it. It seems like she wants to be there or that she cares but it may been too much. All the time. Everytime. It's always something up with me. I don't like it. I been trying to fix myself. But I also don't like going out to bars or clubs or doing that sort of stuff anymore because I spent years doing that and ended up missing out on a family members last days because of it so I kinda attached the situation to those places and I just don't feel safe when I go out. Not sure what it is. A sense of something bad is going to happen. Every time. Anyways we are so busy these days we don't have time to talk much. We had mentioned going on dates soon. Talked about this and that. But when we had that lil argument in text. We got busy to where we didn't really talk for a day I finally made myself apologize as I wanted to earlier but felt I couldn't. U know. She cried but I felt then and there that something wasn't right. That day was my day off of the week and our only day we actually get together fully due to our schedules. It's the one day we get off together. I figured we would be going for one of the dates we been mentioning. But I guess because we argued and all I didn't apologize right away so I think that's when she checked out. Mentally. She's sorta a easily persuasive person (kinda irrelevant but not sure) so like a week before this, when she started her new job. She mentioned her co workers saying this and that. Lil gossip stuff u know how workplaces are. Supposed a chick told her she liked her, hit on her, something along those lines within first day or so. I didn't think much at first. But after we got into it and all that the one night we had together she tells me after I apologize that she's going out with her new friend. That chick that hit on her. So I accept that. Get upset but I moved on. She went out got home at 4 in the morning. U know how it is. I don't like that as I get up for work at 530/6 . I would like for her t be there earlier as she gonna need as much sleep as she can get before our son wakes up and then she'll be stuck awake with him til his Bedtime. Anyways long story cut short. She caught feeling for the friend. Still wants to be friends with her. Can't see the wrong in it. Doesn't want to lose me but also mentioned me taking my car ad the savings and moving back home as well as saying she didn't want me to go. I'm just not sure what to do. I just know for my son's sake is one thing . I don't want him having a broken home. He's young where I feel we can maybe work it out Before he realizes. I myself know I love her. I wouldn't have asked her to marry me if I didn't know that I would be down for whatever. It's a team thing with me. I'm like fuck It right. U did me wrong. Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I needa step it up. I'm not sure. But I do feel super disrespected. Unsure about it all. I'm upset with myself. Cant Even look at myself now + I was depressed and insecure before Now how I'm I gonna beat that. Like I know she wants more or something else as she looked elsewhere for it. But like I'm steadily here chasing her , everyday I try to get her attention. I try to keep her interested in me and the relationship. Just the work shit got in the way. I kept at it but also feel she hadn't kept trying like I had. There's probably more to this but Im. Just feeling overwhelmed again and needa cool out for a few. Thanks for listening / reading.
That's very complicated@johnnybravo2
I actually sort of understand this one. I myself have bad depression and anxiety and kids and a communication issue etc. I've been married 10 years now and we have 3 kids. We did the schedule like yalls and it was rough. We had lots of rocky points because of it. But once on the same schedule we still had issues at least yearly. For me I need that communication connection to make sure I know how they are feeling or doing or what they are thinking and for him it's more of a I want a short answer of just "good" I'd definitely say yalls love languages and communication methods are not in sync. If there was some way to truly communicate about everything and she listened maybe there is a way to make this whole situation better. The issue is sometimes they listen and still don't care or change the actions. In that case I 100% say that you all should figure out how things will work separated because it's worse for the kids to see the fighting and pain. And if they don't change the first time they never will. I'm like 10 tries in and it's just too complicated to fix at the moment. Do not be insecure about yourself. I understand easier said than done. I'm in that depression boat as well. But if you are doing your best and she is that way then she doesn't deserve to be with someone who actually cares. I don't know how many times I've said I'm leaving just to hear a "please dont" but just see him say ok... there are the right people out there that are on that emotional level needed to feel loved in mutual respect. I truly hope you app can just find your groove and work it out but don't beat yourself up about something that is not of your doing.
