Relationship struggles
I’ve been with my boyfriend for 1 year and 5 months. He means the world to me and the thought of losing him causes me a lot of stress. I’ve been through a hard time I thinking I’m not good enough for him and that he is better off without me. I don’t want anyone else, he has made my life so much better but I’m scared that we have grown apart and maybe shouldn’t stay together anymore. He loves me a lot and does a lot for me, even when he is struggling. I really want to talk to someone or hear what would be the best thing to do. My depression, anxiety and PTSD make it hard for me to identify my emotions and I feel that sometimes I struggle to feel certain emotions towards people like my boyfriend or even family
First, thank you for sharing. It’s not easy to talk about your struggles so thank you for being brave. Second, maybe it sounds silly but have you tried talking to your boyfriend about how you are feeling? Even telling him exactly what you wrote here ? You identified a lot of important things just in your post that you are going through and how they affect your life. If you haven’t, maybe start there? You are not alone in struggling with identifying and feeling certain emotions, it’s not always easy and especially when going through a lot of stress, anxiety, overwhelming and scary things. If you are genuinely happy with your boyfriend but are just struggling with things in your life and how to cope, maybe there’s a way to do both? But if you feel that the best option for you is to not be together anymore that is okay too! You have to do what’s best for your mental and physical health. You are not alone and I really hope there is something useful in this long reply.
