Hello everyone. I'm forced to work from home since the beginning of March because of the covid19. During the lockdown I started to share grocery and other burden with my neighbor. She is 39, I'm 45. We barely talked in the last 4 years.

Now that the lockdown is over, we started to hike together and have dinner with friends. I started to play the sax after 10 years I haven't been playing. She joined me, singing. She's always happy and smiling and I fell in love with her. But she didn't. Probably I misundestood her .

I fell in love only once. It was 15 years ago, and like "the biggest and brightest stars", love burnt us quickly and we got separated by our jobs.

I always been scared by love and now I'm afraid it could destroy me. What could I do to overcome my fear?

pls. forgive my bad english, and if my story is off topic here

Your story is not off topic and your English is fine 😊.

Try to express freely your love to her but if she hesitates or is set on not loving you like a couple, think about it another way:

Love burns and goes away but friendship stays forever, so you can enjoy her as a friend forever, a different kind of love, but a lasting love...

I wish you well 😊
