"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are ."

This may take years to fully discover, with many mistakes along the way, but it doesnt mean we shouldnt try. Its vital to figure out whether or not were deceiving ourselves, leading a life that is far from what we want it to be. We have complete control over what we do, but without consciously evaluating our actions and circumstances every now and again, we can let things spiral away–like the the corrupt politician or steroid-dependent athlete. Figure out what youre doing and why youre doing it. If youre doing something that will cause you regret down the road, work yourself away from it.

Ask yourself what brought you in here and what helped you get along wih your partner, your friends, your kids, you business partners . Share your thoughts upon and introspect yourself.

@ececho A friend gave me this very interesting insight yesterday when I showed him my 5 month ultrasound pics and my husband said to him that he is so nervous to be a dad. He said that from about 6 months in the womb to birth to about 7 years old is the most critical time for a human being. Most people may not remember everything as a baby and little child, but our subconscious does and that is why we grow up to be the type of person that we are as adults. If we grew up in abusive households, parents that were drug addicts, or any other mental/behavioral dysfunctions that we witnessed as babies, it will stick w/us as adults even if we do not remember everything - our subconscious does. That is why it is so important to nurture your children and love them and set a good example b/c one way or another, your actions and words do have an effect. I never thought of things that way, but it is true now that I look back on my childhood. :)

@ececho Back in the beginning of high school, I had to truly look at who I hung out with on the daily. Because i relaized i was becoming more and more like them as the weeks went by. After so long, I couldnt take it anymore. I was literally feeding myself negative energy and following in other foot steps when I should have been following in my own. From that point, I started to evaluate myself, learn more about myself, and truly become my own friend and make more positive ones along the way. I have never been happier with the decision I made, and I can honestly say that I know where I want to be headed and for what reasons 😝❤😊

That's amazing Gentle! Being a high schooler myself, I can definitely relate to how you felt. As a freshman, I didn't feel like myself and I tried to act cool. But now, I'm true to myself and I'm happy to be unique :). You're inspiring love!

@ececho It does take courage and that can be as simple as gathering enough energy to go on each day.
