Stalker
So end of last year I dated one of my friends(he wasnt that close, I developed a small crush for him but didn't want to date), he pressured me into dating I thought maybe I might like it?who knows. So we get into out relationship and be comes too *touchy*,and didn't really care about me just my bod, said quite a few disturbing things here and there. This concluding to my breakup, he didn't take it well and after the school holidays 2 months later he become aggressive towards me, would punch and kick me as "play fighting" but in reality it hurt alot and at some point choked me (all this happened while at school). Making times I told him to stop but ofc he'd just continue, I decided to keep my distance and hung out in different areas at school but he somehow found me and hung around the same area, joining in with my different friends, other time he would talk less and just watch me from a distance, following me everywhere for months. Recently a couple weeks ago I found out he sometimes follows me home when I finish school early (I live 3km further away from him) when he dropped off at my stop much further away from his place (I had only told him my address once but deleted it shortly after). I initially thought it was someone that lived close but it was him, he just walked beside me not saying anything, I was panicking inside I slowed and speed up hoping he'd pass me or anything but he just continued walking beside me not saying anything. I freaked out and couldn't walk another 100meters to get to the crossing so I just crossed the road without checking for car (luckily I didn't get hit). After that I notice he's always watching me and following me, I'm getting scared, some of my close friends are also worried about me coz of him, I know he's capable of doing something bad to me (he's much bigger and taller, skilled in martial arts). I need advice on anything that could help me, I'm starting to fear for my safety...
Reach out to a parent/guardian, counselor, teacher or whoever you can and tell them about this. Tell them everything, because if you leave anything out they might downplay it and think you're exaggerating. You obviously don't feel safe and I wouldn't feel safe either. This isn't a time to question yourself or ask if you're overreacting. Try to find someone who could make sure you're safe on your way home. Guys like that feel justified in hurting/harassing the people that hurt them. Just try and avoid him as much as possible.
Best wishes, Cain
