Anyone have any advice on trusting ur partner . Any tips or helpful thinking mechanisms.

ive been dating my bf for about a year now . I can’t seem to trust him . I feel some stuff he does Is shady . He does have his don’t disturb on , I asked him about it he said he has always had since HS it’s been his thing . Idk if it’s a guy thing he does spend a lot of time in the restroom with his phone . We have talked about this feeling I’ve been having he tells me not worry he wouldn’t do anything like that . He also does not post me on social media . He does here and there . I just feel I’m being hid. And that it only matters that I’m being shown off to his family and that’s what should matter the most . He does have certain people blocked on who views his story , he told me he blocked people from work since we used to work together , just never bothered to unblock them when he left that job. And maybe I’m stressing myself out but I have multiple dreams about him cheating .

I just wanna move past this feeling and I don’t seem to know where to start .

thanks for taking the time to read this anything would be appreciated.

@jazzy31 Hey, I understand you might be feeling lost or confused right now. Please don't feel the need to adhere with my advice, as this is just from my experience. Having "no not disturb" on is pretty common, I have it turned on myself. And it's very easy to get distracted on the phone in the bathroom, but I do suggest talking over this with him again. You shouldn't have to feel hid or uncomfortable in a relationship, and if your bf loves you, he should respect that. Again, don't feel pressured to follow my advice, but I'm wishing the best for you <3

Sending love and support,

Sparkly kitten

thank you @sparklykitten7672 . Thank you for taking the time to reply . The don’t disturb I guess is common my bestfriend said his BF has it on as well.

this morning I just let it all out and told him how I’ve been feeling and what’s bothering me and I felt better . He did reassure me that he wouldn’t leave me for this issue and that it will take time to overcome this . So It made me feel better . I guess also some people don’t like posting everything and everyone every time something happens , you know . So thank you 🙏🏼

Rebuilding trust takes a whole lot of effort and patience. One thing we found helpful was phone mirroring apps. And to take a break from ALL social media.
