When they leave...

Do you think we meet people by chance? Do you think time matters, when someone who you've known only less than 3 months, a month..a day can make every wrong little thing seem right? How hard should you try to keep fighting for someone so they can be a part of your future, before you really ought to give up? Are you considered hopeless when you give every little stranger that walks into your life some meaning? That you give them a significant part of your life? Is it sad...Is it rare..that sometimes you need someone to make you feel whole? To fill the gap? Not because you're empty and sad, but because that's what you'd like. You'd like someone to share every experience with. When you lose someone who gave you so much to remember in the smallest things, like a song you both like, or how when you see a roach and you run screaming you remember how much you both hated those little creepy crawlers....when you lose someone like that, how long does it take you to get better? Do you get better? When they disappear along with all the wishful thinking you had of them ever actually having cared for you, and the negative thinking comes sinking down...what do you do with all those thoughts? Did he care? Why was she so nice? Where did it all go? Were they all lies? Did I really not mean that much to him? Did she really deem whatever we had as hopeless and just decide to stop trying? Did you find someone who could make you feel way better? Was I not trying hard enough? Did you just not want to struggle with me? Was I not worth an explanation at least? Why does there always end up to be a someone who cares too much, and a someone who can't reciprocate the same amount of care? I mean, I'm not really talking about just lovers, I'm talking about any kind of connection really. It could be a guy and a girl, it could be a homosexual couple, it could be a married couple, it could be best friends, it could be childhood friends, it could be a step parent and a step child, it could be siblings, it could be any kind of relationship. I think we should also have to consider that not everyone is as strong as the wall they put up. It may take 15 arrows to bring down a wolf, but only 1 to kill a pup. That's why simply stating "It'll get better" "It takes time" "Someone else will come along and will show you why it didn't work out" isn't really that helpful I believe. It's true you're stating a realistic and positive outcome, but that doesn't change the now. The hurt of now. People don't need to be reassured of their future, they're not they're yet. They need to be held in the present, because it hurts right now. Here's to one of my friendships, to my dear friend "stupid idiot(I'll call)", I have yet to regret ever meeting you. I loved you from day one and will continue to love you with every inch of distance that dares to separate us. Maybe we were unlucky, but I believe it is a privilege to have even met you. And maybe it didn't work out today, but maybe 10 years down the road we'll have a second try and I'll be there to catch you, and you'll be there to try to act like the tougher one out of two of us and say "the ground tripped me, darn it ground!" Gosh, you've given me so much in just a number of days and I'm honestly not quoting John green when I say that. Thank you for trying mate. Stay true to who you are, because you are absolutely wonderful inside and out with all your perfect imperfections. Love,

🐙

What do you think happens when we are finally able to put these thoughts out, for everyone to see?

It helps all who care to read, and, experience, the similar pain.

Hi :) Thanks very much for sharing this.

I really resonated with the part that said " Are you considered hopeless when you give every little stranger that walks into your life some meaning? That you give them a significant part of your life?". Because I struggle with this idea too. I always want to "hope" that people whether be it someone that I've only known for 5 minutes to be someone special in my life. I am not sure if I am making any sense at all, but what I am trying to say is, I don't believe that we meet people by chance. Everything happens for a reason. Everyone we meet in our lives holds an important key. Sometimes, the relationship may not be all rosy and pretty. But. we always learn something from every situation and every person.

So, even if some people may say that we are hopeless, we much not be afraid to love with our whole heart - even if it meant that we may get our hearts broken.

Once again, thanks for sharing this here :)

Stay blessed and sending love♡

xoxo, Aisha
