best friend different feelings

so im currently dating my best friend. we met in june and became official in december of 2019. the relationship started out so much fun, he would always tell me how beautiful i was and have my nicknames that related to my personality (one of them was sunflower because theyre my favorite). around february, our two months, he just slowly stopped. it went from daily to once every two weeks. i noticed this and didnt know how to react because i dont want to seem like im constantly craving compliments. i talked to him about it awhile ago and he understood but it pretty much stayed the same. i also noticed he took me off his private story on snap for awhile and just recently put me back. i still love him because of his personality but i truly dont know how to bring this up to him because i dont want to be an overbearing girlfriend, but it does bother me a little bit.
