I think this is a great idea! My wife has borderline personality and our relationship problems are the main reason I started using this app. It can definitely be hard sometimes. We had to get better at communicating with each other and that has helped a lot with our relationship. Both of take things the wrong way sometimes and now if one of says something that upsets the other one, we try to just explain what was meant better. We’ve been together for 13 years and I really wish we had learned to communicate better a long time ago.
thank you for sharing your story! ❤️ it sounds like you and your wife have come a long way in working through the challenges. if you don’t mind sharing, what were some specific strategies or techniques that helped you both enhance your communication over the years?
The Lasting app really helped us a lot with communication. It’s like we didn’t realize before how different our thought processes are. So now we just try to explain things as thoroughly as possible if one of us gets upset. Most of our arguments and hurt feelings are just because we misunderstand what the other one meant. We also try to talk more about how we’re feeling and try to be as honest as possible.
oh, that’s great! thank you so much for sharing. im sure it can be helpful for other people as well. i wish you and your wife luck and harmony in your relationship! you both are undoubtedly an example for others ❤️
@MDF7, what is the Lasting app?
@dadalo
It’s like a couples counseling app. There’s different topics you can go through like lessons kind of and questions that you and your partner both answer. It just helps a lot with communication and makes it easier to talk about issues and understand where the other person is coming from.
@MDF7
Thanks for sharing your story. This proves the saying that 'communication is the key' Everyone has different thoughts, level of emotions, attitudes, beliefs and personality. Expecting others to behave in accordance with the way we think will not work everytime. This creates challenges for both the people and bring several emotions or feelings like anger, frustration, disappointment, distress , regret etc. Verbalizing your emotions ,feelings and thoughts convey your needs and preferences to your partner in best possible way. This helps to clear the minor inconveniences and prevent them from ending up as a major problem. I appreciate you and your partner for choosing your relationship to be healthy, effective by addressing your discomforts. This is definitely going to bring much happiness in to your relationship.
@uglystoryy Hey I'd like to hear more on this topic as well! Nice initiative :)
