Am I wrong to feel this way?
sigh. okay.
Context:
- I will be referring to my girlfriend as Sam.
- Sam and I are not quarantined together.
- I have relationship anxiety.
- We text everyday.
Sam misses her friends a lot. She's been extremely upset because of this. So she and her friends organize meet ups in parking lots while practicing social distancing. I'm happy for her, but wish she'd make the effort to meet me.
A couple weeks of this go by. Sam plans, by herself, a cabin retreat with her friends without social distancing (they quarantined themselves from the outside world a week leading up to it). She says she misses me but every time we start talking about seeing each other, she drops it.
I wish she'd put in the same effort to see me as she does with her friends. It worries me that she doesn't. It makes me feel anxious and confused and upset but I don't want to bring it up in fear that my relationship anxiety is just getting the best of me.
Am I wrong to feel this way? Would it be right to bring it up with her? Or am I being childish considering the situation?
