Annoying crush

So two-ish years ago i met this guy in a game and we became great friends. We only ever communicated over voice and text chat, to this day I don't know what he even looks like. We played a lot together mainly on a game called VRChat and eventually I developed a small crush, because he just had that sort of attractive personality y'know? A few months back he quit gaming because after he wanted to focus on his education and career (which i completely understand and respect, hell it made him even more attractive than the guys who don't give a damn about their education). Thing is, he slowly stopped talking to me in the process. So things went from 'talking and playing with each other almost every day' to 'texting each other once a month or two'. And allllll this time I can't get rid of the crush I have on him. Today is Christmas, so just being a nice friend I texted him 'Happy Christmas' like I did to many others. I know he has been online (Discord showed him online playing games, ironically) and he has had all day to see it, yet it's 2:30 am and he just completely ignored me. Shit hurts. We were always on good terms, I'm even convinced he lowkey flirted with me at many stages when we still used to talk. So I just don't understand why he just did a 180
