I have this one friend that we are close but knowing that she has others makes me feel like I am just a side friend, and it forms some sort of hatred and jealousy towards the person. I know it sounds *** but unfortunately, it's true. I haven't had a best friend in a long time and cannot go back that, but it's hard knowing that I am alone and don't have anyone to talk to everyday or share my thoughts and feelings with.

This is unfortunately a common occurrence in some cases. If a person is insecure or truly doesn't feel their worth, it's difficult to trust someone and be themselves. Especially when you feel like your interactions are the same as with everyone else. But I'd like to say that everyone, or almost everyone, has a few friends. And these friendships can be different, but one way or another, this doesn't mean the person isn't extremely friendly towards you. Quite the opposite. It means they might find something unique in you that others don't have. And that's worth appreciating. On the other hand, you also have the right to be special to someone. And that's a natural desire, so it's okay. But we can change our attitude toward this. Jealousy and envy will destroy you and prevent you from seeing the situation clearly. Therefore, if you can rationally improve something, for example, be closer to a friend, discuss the situation with her/distance yourself and focus on finding a better option - do it. But don't give yourself a reason to be sad. You don't deserve it. You'll definitely succeed!
