i was friends with this guy (ill call him m) for a few months.. over time of course i developed this HUGE crush on him. i told him about my feelings, and he turned me down because he likes another girl (ill call her s) which is okay, its not his fault he isnt into me. but him and this girl are always together, talking and holding hands. and even when theyre not together hes always talking about her. it really hurts me to see them together, but i dont want to say anything because i dont want to ruin my friendship with m. one of my friends talked to m about it, and he thinks that i need to get over him. he said that hes not gonna stop being happy because i cant move on. i understand where hes coming from, but i still kind of like him. how do i move on so that i can try and salvage our friendship?

@luckyduckie you will find some one else who will feel the same as you it just might take some time to find that untill then just focus on the important things in life and it will all fall in place eventually

I met my current boyfriend here and he is a great match. I wouldnt have met him serendipitously and I am grateful for this site. You only need to meet ONE person for it to be right.

@luckyduckie I agree with @Thesurrenderexp. The only way to truly "get over" something is to get away from it for a while and learn to accept the way things are.

I am sorry this is happening because you and m are friends. I hope that all will be well with your friendship.

@luckyduckie moving on is never an easy thing, especially moving on from someone you loved! distraction techniques, rethinking your future without him, starting to focus more on self-development, finding new hobbies, learning something new, making new friends... all the best duckie! heart personally i'm a little more extreme, i remove him from everywhere - contacts, social media. i find someone to talk to and vent it all out.
