Here goes.

I guy at work was showing signs of being interested in me, we talked for 2 months just over text, then recently dated for 6 months, he told me within these 6 months he wanted us to become exclusive and public but needed a little time. I agreed and said there was rush, this was my first ever relationship, he knew the reasons as to why I didn't want to date and the way I felt about myself. About 4 months down the line. He was honest to tell me he had been in contact with his ex. Nothing happened and he had blocked and deleted her as he was with me. We then decided to go away together, open up to family and friends and share our relationship to our work colleagues. Everything was going great, we had just exchanged house keys and were planning on making space for each other in our homes. We had future plans and we're talking 24/7. Until suddenly one night he messaged to ask if I'd got home safe and then ended things over a text message after I'd just finished a double shift at work, telling me it wasn't my fault but he didn't see us going any further. He ignored me for 3 weeks and then apologised for how he handled things. 1 month has passed I was doing great, finally getting over him, even though we were seeing eachother through work. To then get hit with a bombshell this week that he was still continuing to lie to me and that he was actually cheating on me for a lady he has contact with for his out of work activities. He was seeing her while he was with me for months and now he's posting it everywhere about his new relationship. So yesterday I left all his stuff on his desk and a little note, just to say I don't want it anymore I'm trying to move on, and wished him the best of luck with his future and his new girlfriend. To which he messaged me straight away and said ' as long as we're okay?'. I just don't know what to do anymore. He acts like nothing ever happened, I had to find out the hard way that he cheated on me and he was never going to be honest and tell me. I guess I'm struggling as it's my first ever relationship, we had an age gap over 15 years difference. But today I come to work to find the note has been ripped up into pieces and thrown in my bin so I could see it. I hope this all makes sense. It seems he still wants a friends like relationship because of work, but he's not listened to a word I said, he's lied and disrespected everything. I'm scared to block him becuase of his reaction and everyone at work is starting to show their own opinions towards us. He's making it difficult because he wasn't honest, but can't seem to completely let go of me as he still asks about my family and my private life. I've never done anything like this before do I just don't know what to do.

Hi Person!

I can see how confusing this must be for you. He seems unsure whether he wants to still be in contact and communication with you or if he wants to cut off all means of communication with you to truly end things and move on from you. Would it be possible for you two to sit down talk things out to help with the confusion you may be feeling?
