is bro code an actual thing?
i really like this guy. we’ve been friends for around a year but recently, we’ve been talking day and night. i love talking to him and really everything about him. he’s one of the only people who i feel completely comfortable with. but the problem is, he’s the best friend of my ex. but like, me and my ex are friends and we ended on sort of good terms?? but yeah, i really like the guy but i’m scared of getting between his friendship with my ex. they’ve been friends for a long time and i’d hate to come in between that.

@user01929388 Hey, i'll give you my opinion. "Bro code" as a means to ensure that best bros protect each other beyond their personal gains does exist, and is widespread, but i don't think it applies here.
From what i gather, you're making a really good friend and that has nothing to do with your ex, nor do you intend to interfere with their relationship (which might be just a friendship or maybe romantic who knows). So, they're 2 separate things... you can keep focusing on your friendship without ever bringing anything else into play :)
But that's just my opinion. if it's bothering you a lot, perhaps you can discuss it directly with your friend? Make sure to check you've got the energy to face that discussion beforehand though. GL, alex
