Considering faith

I was raised Catholic, but stepped away from the church at some point. Lately I've been in a very dark place, but I'm trying my best to recover. A few times, I've considered maybe turning towards faith might help me, but it's been a long time and I'm not even sure which values I want to align myself with. Please don't start any debates in this thread, but I was curious to hear from religious people of different faiths how their beliefs help give them strength to live each day? What is your favorite thing about belonging to your particular faith?

@shadowpaw93 hey, just so you know, you aren't alone! I am from a similar background. I really tried to step back and ask myself "what seems true" (not "what would I like to be true")...

@shadowpaw93 hi sweetie 💗 I don't actually class myself as any particular religion. But I have faith I believe in God, heaven and angels💖 without faith and believe I don't know how I would get through each day. I see and feel what I believe in. I don't think it matters what your religion is, what matters is what you choose to believe💖💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗

Hey! I hope you are well. The things in my faith is that it gives me hope that with every hardship there is ease. It gives me purpose when I feel lost. It gives me support when I am alone. When I am hurt that I did a mistake and that mistake is too big that it's guilt will kill me then my religion tell me that you are not perfect. You did mistake but if you repent sincerely and ask forgiveness you will be forgiven. I think these are the best things in my religion.
