When you get a reminder that things are going your way🌷

alsalam ealaykum warahmat allah wabarakatuh. 

I hope you are all well and healthy.

Honestly, a very beautiful situation happened to me and I wanted to share this, perhaps it could be an incentive or a reminder, or I don’t know how to describe it more.

Well, to make a long story short, I had something I wanted so badly and was so excited about it that I made all the preparations and things I needed for it, but unfortunately it didn't happen, and let's just say it was a complete failure. Because of this, I felt really sad, to be honest, and I felt suffocated and anxious during the day. During prayer time, I went to pray, and then I started reading the Holy Quran. Glory be to Allah, the first verse I started reading was: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

وَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ} [البقرة: 216]}.

{But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. Allah knows, while you do not know.} [Al-Baqarah: 216].

صدق الله العظيم

Allah's words are true.

And literally I felt that it was a message to me and I felt a warmth filling my heart and my eyes started to tear up. I felt that it was a reminder to me not to forget that if God saw that this thing was good for me, it would have happened and I cannot see this and that everything that happens to us has a divine wisdom that we do not know.

 أن أفعال الخير التي تكرهها النفوس لما فيها من المشقة أنها خير بلا شك، وأن أفعال الشر التي تحبها النفوس لما تتوهمه فيها من الراحة واللذة فهي شر بلا شك، وأما أحوال الدنيا فليس الأمر مطردًا، ولكن الغالب على العبد المؤمن أنه إذا أحب أمرًا من الأمور فقيض الله له من الأسباب ما يصرفه عنه أنه خيرُ له، فالأوفق له في ذلك أن يشكر الله، ويعتقد الخير في الواقع؛ لأنه يعلم أن الله تعالى أرحم بالعبد من نفسه وأقدر على مصلحة عبده منه.

The good deeds that souls hate because of the hardship they entail are undoubtedly good, and the evil deeds that souls love because of the comfort and pleasure they imagine they bring are undoubtedly evil. As for the conditions of this world, the matter is not constant, but what is most prevalent for the believing servant is that if he loves a matter and God provides him with the means to divert him from it, it is better for him. So it is more appropriate for him to thank God and believe in the good in reality, because he knows that God Almighty is more merciful to the servant than he is to himself and more capable of the benefit of His servant than he is.

فإن العبد إذا علم أن المكروه قد يأتي بالمحبوب، والمحبوب قد يأتي بالمكروه، لم يأمن أن توافيه المضرةُ من جانب المسرة، ولم ييأس أن تأتيه المسرة من جانب المضرة؛ لعدم علمه بالعواقب؛ فإن الله يعلمُ منها ما لا يعلمهُ العبدُ.

If the servant knows that the disliked may bring about the beloved, and the beloved may bring about the disliked, he will not feel safe that harm will come to him from the side of pleasure, and he will not despair that pleasure will come to him from the side of harm, because he does not know the consequences. God knows of them what the servant does not know.
