An annoying message in mail !
i get an email like 4 times a week from "
ThatGuy361: Hey there ..."
cant open or see it, what is this ? is anyone else getting this ?
Hi Marla! Do you get this message in your inbox / conversation? If yes please ignore such messages, they can be spam and it's better to avoid them. Yes i do understand that such messages are annoying but if they're not opening up and coming frequently that means they are spam.

I guess you are talking of the email you get titled... "(#) Unread Messages in your Inbox"from 7 cups of tea. These are from messages you have had unreadfor a while on your "conversation" tab at 7 cups of tea. Sometimes though these messages come in after you have read those messages and delayed. I think it might be something they are still working on? I am not sure. If you don't want to get those messages again you can unsubscribe from it. In the email there is an option that says... "You've received this e-mail because you're a member of the 7 Cups of Tea community. If you'd like to unsubscribe from future e-mails,please click here."

For weeks now I keep getting the "you have 8 unread messages from 2 conversations.'
I have logged in as 'member' and 'listener' and there are no such messages. This is driving me nuts. There are no unread messages.
Do I need to change something in my profile/settings to get this to stop, or does this happen to everyone?
@Trugem - It happens to usually everyone. I sometimes do see the messages it talks of, sometimes those are messages I have already responded to though. You can unsubscribe as I said in the post above so that you won't be getting those messages.
Thanks. I didn't even see the option to unsubscribe. If I do that, does it mean - as a listener - I won't get messages from people who send them to me when I'm offline?
You'll still get the messages, you just won't be getting the email notifications about them. @Trugem
Hi @Trugem. I have noticed there are 2 types of notifications...that one and another one that tells you "You have # unread messages" without showing you any additional message. The last one is the one I find most beneficial. You can unsubscribe from that email you are now getting and set the other one which is a preference on your account settings noted as "Email me each time I receive a new message when I am offline.".
