Utilizing Safety Functions on 7 Cups - 1- 1 Chats and Group Chat-rooms

7 Cups is a supportive site, where its listeners, members, and guests, are encouraged to be respectful and professional towards one another, and obey the rules and regulations listed on the site. At times, there are instances when negative behaviour becomes a problem, when rules are not being properly adhered to, and there can be situations involving bullying, harassment, etc.

There are several safety functions which one may utilize, in order to deal with such situations. Here is a list of the safety functions which one can use, if at any time you are made to feel uncomfortable during a chat (either in a 1-1 chat, or a group chat environment):

ONE-TO-ONE CHATS:

-BLOCK - use the 'X' function (click on the icon found at the top of the chat window), in order to block a listener in a chat, as per your discretion (you have the option of leaving a reason for engaging in the block, in the empty field text box provided)

-GET SUPPORT - click on the ? icon found at the top of the chat window, and you will be able to access the Listener Support Room, in which experienced listeners will be available, to answer any questions or concerns which you may have

GROUP CHAT CONVERSATIONS:

-MUTE - Click on the Mute function listed beside any chat comment in the group chat, to mute messages from

the particular listener who said them

-REPORT - Click on the Report function listed beside any chat comment, to report a listener for negative behaviour, where

you see appropriate

Additionally, you may file a listener-to-listener behavior report, specifying any information as you see fit about negative behaviour, and submitting the form, to report another listener who you may witness engaging in inappropriate conduct of behaviour. The link can be found here:
