Are you required to pass certain information to authorities?
I didn't see this in the terms. What sort of information would you be required to pass to law enforcement if I discuss it?
For example, "I've just stabbed someone." Or, "I'm having sex with my 9 year old niece." Or, "I stabbed my 9 year old niece because she didn't want to have sex today."
I'm not saying that any of that is actually happening in my life! I just want to know if I may compromise my freedom by talking on here about something that could potentially be a felony.
Hey @sincereFan1211
We are not allowed to pass anything on to law enforcements- we don't know your name, we don't know your country, we don't know your age. If a listener calls the police, they could get 7 cups of tea into legal issues, which isn't something we want! So no, no listener should ever call police on you.
When you connect to a listener, there is an agreement of "I am not homicidal, suicidal or abusing anyone.", so if there are circumstances which do not meet to the terms of services on 7 cups, then the listener is more than within their rights to end the chat, and even block the member if they are persisting talking to someone about this.
I hope this makes sense and clears up your question a little!
It is too complex when dealing with listeners and members across a variety of countries and localities where the laws on sharing information are all different.
