Follow People?

Hey! I'm new to 7Cups (I signed up because a friend told me they were going to deactivate their Skype and to find them on here), and I can't figure out how to follow someone. Would I not be able to follow people because I'm a listener? And am I able to message members on 7Cups as a listener?

"Following" someone just makes it easy to see their feed posts. As a listener, you can indeed exchange messages with anyone, but you cannot initiate contact with a member - they have to request a 1-1 chat with you first.
