Thank you for your concern about your member, and for seeking out ways to help her. There are in fact a few ways for listeners and members to receive message notifications when offsite.

If you use the app (available on Android and IOS), you'll get a push notification automatically when new messages come through. On the desktop site, you can find an option in Settings (listener here, member here) to receive an email when you receive a new message.
