What?? No way! As long as its not hateful or sexually inappropriate I don't see why you can't exercise your right to free speech! Yes, I've noticed that with this new wave of even more brainless pop culture the youth are being completely removed from the once-cherished historical role models that I grew up idolizing. People don't even know what I'm talking about when I mention Lennin -_-.
You'd think that wouldn't you? But apparently this is the internet. Where it's more censored and totalitarian than Hitler's third Reich. And on this website, if you've ran into any trouble before (fairly or unfairly, but usually the latter) they delete the thread. The moderators must think their Gods.
I know exactly what you mean. Because of my history with the local debating club I got invited to a political seminar hosted by the youth parliamentabout various political positions and what they feel would be better for society. At one point in it I was asked by the speaker where I stood and I said I was a Marxist. They just stared blankly at me. I asked them about Lenin and the same expression. Only one of those futurepoliticians knew who they were and said he was a supporter of Marxism. But he told me that if I thought they were bad here I should see what it's like at the schools these days of half of them know what politics actually are with most who do know what they are thinking they're boring and shouldn't be allowed.
It really does worry me.
But I know one day Marxism will be practiced like it is meant to be.
Its rediculous my friend! Especially with all the new internet censorship bills being considered, underground wars being covered up in the news and constant political scandal. You're absolutely right, like Marx himself predicted DeMOCKracy can only last so long before it collapses in upon itself (I'm big on cosmology and love the comparison of democratic downfall to a star supernovaing into a black hole lol). After which, communism and eventually pure socialism will take place. People ask me, but how do you know that Democracy will fall? Its not that we know it will or when, its that it MUST. Its a flawed system based on flawed ideals and held up by flawed if not criminally insane individuals. Why should equal opportunity and equal rights not also mean equal division of wealth??? Because the fat cat bourgeoisie pay their mercenaries well, to convince you that its okay to be poor working 14hours a day and to shoot at women and children when cameras aren't rolling.
I know exactly what you mean. I will always stand by my words. Democracy is a popularity contest. You're never truly "free". Just tricked into thinking it. Democracy just cannot work. Capitalismcannot work. We may think it works but then why are so many people living in poverty or dying because of diseases that could be treated if they were handed out for free. Take the Meningitis B vaccine. It could save millions of lives but it's been put on private health care only because the company that found are worried they won't make a big enough profit. But we still have hope as clearly a lot of the younger generation intend to move to the left. Hopefully they'll see that they never will be rich and prosperous under Capitalism unless they're born into it. They're even used to be a time when you could benefit from it. But now that fantastic idea you came up with get's bought out, stolen or copyrighted with less than a minute and the companies will sap you of everything in your body.
