i know somebody who expects other people to die...i mean really really die...for example if she hear about someone had a stroke, she would say that 'i wish he/she would die rather than being paralyzed or a burden for the family'....sometimes i cant even believe my own ears....and her daughter seems to have the same kind of thoughts.....they really expects other people to die rather than having a difficult life....but everybody wants to live no matter how hard the life becomes....and who are they to decide whop gets to live or who gets should die??!!! why do they do this? what happens in their mind that makes them think like that? i googled for it....but couldnt find any answer!!!! can anybody help me about it?

Hi there,

To be honest..i don't think there is a one, solid problem why she would think like that. Her daughter just sounds like she has been influenced by her Mother.

It's sad and horrible. Some people are just generally quite cold-hearted.

i also think that the daughter is just the victim of her mothers influence....and someday she will realize it.....but what happened to the mom? just cold hearted??!!! though she sounds very logical about it....like there is no meaning in leaving in suffering...yeah it sounds like totally emotionless....but....still there has to be some explanation......like a mental disorder or mental illness.....anything.....how can a person be like that???!!!! HOW???!!!!

It's very hard to come to terms that a person can be cold-hearted without another alternative explanation. Sometimes it's just that, they are cold-hearted and have no idea of how other people feel. There might be an explanation in her past, maybe she saw someone close to her suffering and thought it was cruel and horrible.

oh my god!!!!...she saw her sister dying while giving birth of her dead baby...and she also died because of excessive bleeding and after pregnancy complications.....and the worst part is she died without any treatment...because it was a remote countryside and no doctor was available at that moment.....she saw her dying....that sister was her best friend and she loved her so much...she still talks about that incident, still thinks about her dead sister....it has been like 30 years but scar is not healed yet i guess.....OMG!!!! am i right? what do you think?

Sounds like that could be the issue.
