How can we feel we are precious?

I was working on enhancing my self-esteem, and I found out that it can be related to our childhood. A message telling us that we are loved, accepted, worthy, and appreciated is sent to us from our early childhood when we experience a healthy caregiver relationship and social life. Later, we will grow up having a "Belief" that we are worthy of love and appreciation. However, this message can be the opposite when we experience neglect or abuse in childhood.

Dealing with the negative sent message to us is applicable. To have a healthier relationship witht ourselves, we need to build a strong base of awareness of how much we are worthy and precious. This can be supported by mentioning evidence for this. For example: I do good deeds and help people, I don't harm people, I do my daily tasks, etc. Feeling that you are appreciated can be detected by the standard that you choose and nourishes this belief. For example: if I do good deeds, then I'm love-worthy and precious. If I help the others, then I'm precious, etc.

Just make sure to feel appreciated everyday if you needed this in your childhood. Start today. When you have better self-esteem, you shine and your light illuminates your surrounding :)
