Why Do we Have LOW self esteem

Hi guys

I just wanna start a thread about why we think we have low self esteem. I'm pretty loud and silly but I tend to unintentionally overshadow people and say things that put the limelight on me. I dont want that. I want to respect people. I just don't want to do this anymore, and I want my self esteem to be much much higher. It's pretty much in the pits, it's so bad. I'm hoping your discussions might help me find a reason for mine.
