Self-Harm Recovery Daily Check-In: Sunday, January 10th, 2021
hey hey all you lovely human beings!! happy happy sunday!
soo first of all, i want to apologize! im so sorry for making this check in at like 11pm haha you guys totally deserve it to be earlier! anyway, im here now! today i have a storytime! :D
so i had an insane night <3 if you didn't know, i have an extreme phobia of spiders and insects and really anything non-mammal haha. so today, here i am minding my own buisness in my bed, responding to replies in my anxiety support check-in, just vibin right? well a lovely spider decided otherwise. it *jumped **on** me* smh i cannot express how loudly I screamed at that moment <3 how fun! i ran out of my bed and to my twin brother's room i say "Johann, quick, there's a creepy scary jumping spider can you help me find it" and hes like yeah fine whatever. so we spent 30 minutes taking my bed apart looking for the dang thing. we didn't find it... kinda scary haha
so that is why my check-in is a little late :p anyway! today's topic is phobias! some people experience really intense, strong phobias, and others just minor fears! either way, they can definitely impact us!

some scary movies and plenty of normal stuff is scary to me

Good and bad. One of my school works is a bit difficult. I can't wait to finish it. Lol

Cockroaches! I hate them. Instead of killing it, I usually ran away.

My favorite scary thing would be a horror-genre webtoon called Horang's nightmare. Reading the story was exciting. Anyway, I don't like scary things as well. It can give me nightmares.

horror movies, i LOVE them. my favorite are "orphan" (they are planning on making a prequel!!) and "truth or dare" (2018)

I am scared of snakes and I get nightmares where they are attacking me. I have researched and found out that having nightmares of snakes are not that bad. But they are scary to be honest. 😰

Favourite scary thing haha. My favourite scary thing would be to get close to an animal in a wildlife park. It is scary and not at all recommended.

I am super scared of injections/needles, I can't get a shot without having a panic attack, in fact, I didn't get any injections since I was 10. One time a doctor wanted to take a blood sample and I broke down completely. Apparently, I was sobbing and screaming on the floor ( I can't really remember that event, I only recall an immense feeling of fear). So I'd say this fear affects me quite a lot. Especially now in times of covid where you should get a vaccine. I'm also afraid of spiders and most insects, other than that I often have nightmares about my house being full of insects it does not really affect me.

I like scary books more than scary movies.

I feel so bad and awful because last Wednesday I have been fired in asurprising and insulting way, and it still hard to me to accept that I am jobless.
