My take on perfection: Perfection is a myth, it does not exist as perfection literally means that there is no room for improvement and I firmly believe that there is always a room for improvement :) So I would agree with what you said about doing your best and not letting others dictate what YOUR best is, but I won't term it as perfection :)
@PracticalMonk
I love that!
Perfection means some sort of attainment where there is no more room for attainment.
There is always room to go further, become more, heal more and achieve more.
That makes perfect sense that perfection is a myth bc there is ALWAYS room to grow! <3
In my opinion, when we stop growing, there is stagnation and that to me, is like death because we we always growing, learning and in a constant state of change <3

There is a body of water in Israel that is actually below sea level. Water constantly trickles INTO it, but, because of the law of gravity, nothing can flow OUT of it. Do you know the name of this famous lake? It's called the Dead Sea.
It's called this because the mineral deposits have accumulated to such an extent that no living thing could survive in this water. The water is literally dead. Everything needs to keep flowing as there is life in flowing water. So I agree with you about stagnation signifying death.
Having said that OP agrees with my opinion about perfection as they had a chat with me, they only meant to highlight the fact that they were always asked to do things perfectly and the way they view perfection is trying your best. It is fine.
@PracticalMonk Thankyou for bringing in the Dead sea analogy:-):-) I agree:-):-)
