Was just wondering will there be a point where the need to SH dissapears? Or is it all about just managing it ? For me its in my head everyday all day most days its just a whisper other day its like a roar !

Yes!
It may not be easy and you won't just find a quick fix one day, a lot of time will pass just managing it, but you can definitely recover from it fully. ❤️
I used to pull out my hair and bang my head against the walls up to the point where they had dents. Now I brush my hair gently and lovingly every day and take good care of my body. The urge to harm myself that once ruled my life has been gone for a good while now.
Stay strong and keep on fighting, you will make it too! 🙌

@THAT1GURL

I started when I was around 8 years old. I went through trauma and was pretty suicidal as a child. I got a bit better after some time, but I didn't stop self harming for many years. I think what helped me recover "sooner" was that my forms of sh were usually so public that people had a chance to talk with me about it, that way I got the help I needed from them. We worked from the source and I had a lot of support to get me through it.
I hope this helps explain it~

Hi! I think there definitely is, I only rarely think about it anyomore and haven't hurt myself in about a year. It became much harder for me to hurt myself when I went on medication and was in CBT, because the feeling of numbness lightened up and it HURT. Also, as I practid it became so much easier to reject the urges.
