first post here; i was recommended this app by a friend of mine. long story short i'm trans and have bpd. i work in a very hot and humid environment, where i profusely sweat and lose as much personal freedom as i lose water. to calm myself down i snapped a rubber band on my wrist and thigh.. eventually going too far and accidentally losing my sobriety streak of 6 years. it's been really messing with my head.. idk if i wanna go into detail abt what i'm going through, but suffice it to say i'm very hurt and disappointed in myself. i haven't had what i'd consider a 'hard relapse' but.. it's enough to really throw me off. i just want a hug.

Hello @kwaHeri1729

It sounds like you have relapsed after staying clean for a long time. I don't blame you for feeling this way <3 I relapsed pretty badly after a long streak once before and it was super upsetting. I remember feeling really frustrated having to go back to square one, but I was able to eventually get back on track. I know you can too. While this may be upsetting, this doesn't have to be the end. If you were able to stay clean for six years before, then I know you can do it again! Still, take some time to be upset. Grieving a loss of progress is normal and okay. Sending virtual hugs <3
