I don't recognize myself
(TW scars?)
Does anyone else look down at their arms and not recognize them, and be confused? I have only been cutting for at most a month ish, it hard to remember exactly when it started, so I am not used to seeing scars especially so many. I have other scars from woodwork but not this many or quite as long.
I was sitting down tonight on my phone and looked down and saw scars and it took me 5-10 seconds to realize those were my arms. I was just wondering if people related.
Once again I hope I am not breaking any guidelines, I have read them all before but I have been on 7cups very long so don't know exactly how the law is laid down.

@7Bear7 You're such a sweet soul<3 and it really hurts me that you're carrying all these heavy emotions. I hope that one day you won’t feel the need to give in to those urges, and that the urges themselves will feel like a distant memory.
I think maybe when the urges come, it can be such an overwhelming, numbing and dissociating moment that when your mind begins to come out of that space, it doesn’t recognize the scars left behind or maybe it just can’t process what it had to do to survive<3
Some experiences are so painful that when we get a bit of distance, our minds make them feel foreign. My mind has blocked so many memories because of my grief ^^ It’s a way of protecting ourselves. But it doesn’t mean you’re broken, it means you endured more than anyone should ever have to<3
I hope you know that you’re a lovely human. You deserve so much love and care. We all care about you a lot<3

Thank you Tiny! Thank you soo much! I am doing pretty decent at the moment I am at a Christian event. I have speech prepared (I might have been to stressed to write it if the Cuppers weren't all having fun and including me, so thank you for that!) I should do that tomorrow. I got my whole family here with me cheering me on and helping. And I have my Christian brothers and sisters here in the hundreds! It is a wonderful time!
I haven't cut in like 4-5 days, most of my scars have faded to a dull white or pink(barely noticeable), I attribute that to you Cuppers and being busy!

Thank you!!!!!! Yeah I have been going to this event for a couple years and done speech for 3, I got first my first year, so I was in winners circle last year and got second, and well I guess we'll see what happens this year! :3

I think I did well! I didn't place but I am going against guys who all have made first at some point. This event really comes down to judge's preference and interpretation, and time.
I have a lot of fun with it!!!! I probably my best impromptu ever so that's awesome! And we go to improve skills and encourage each other, spreading Gods word and love! :3
