Self harm
I have so many scars and they are pretty bad, like on my arms my thighs and my lower legs. I have been clean for a week now. My whole point is that if you're self harming please don't do it. Its really bad and its SO stupid to ruin your beautiful body like that. Your so worth it and there are people who care about you. I do. <3 :)

This right here is strength shining at its brightest, you know?💛
So so proud of you! Sending lots of love your way!💛
@caseylh3152 Thank you very much for your words. I'm going through a lot of things lately and I'm self-harming myself. The scars dissapear after a while because don't do it with much pressure (I don't want anyone to know), but I know I need to stop. It's not easy (I'm only 3 days clean) and I feel the urge to do it again.

TRIGGER WARNING
Hello, I found these affirmations and I wanted to share them with you and anybody else that needs these. I am so proud of you for realizing this early that you are needing to stop. I was a cutter and now I look back and realize I don't need to do that any more because now I have learned new great coping tools, patience, and learned how to advocate for myself and very good self-care. It's so important to remind ourselves just how special we really are, and learn what makes us, well....us!`
I believe you are on the right path now, and you should be very proud at your success so far. I know what it felt like back when I couldn't seem to stop. I found it was directly due to my lack of coping skills, and my lack of social skills. Now I don't have bad anxiety like before because I know how to see it coming and then I distract myself and stay grounded in the present moment. Tag me anytime.
AFFIRMATIONS:
"This feeling is temporary. I will get through this."
"I am worthy of love and support. I will reach out for help." You deserve to feel safe and cared for.
"I am strong and capable. I have faced challenges before, and I can
face this one too." You are more resilient than you think.
"My
pain does not define me. I am more than my struggles." Pain is a part of
life, but it doesn't have to control your existence. You are a complex
and worthy.
"I will focus on what I can control, my breath, my thoughts, and my actions."
"There is help available. I will find a healthy way to cope." Self-harm
is not the answer. There are healthier ways to deal with difficult
emotions.
"I am worthy of healing. I will take steps towards
feeling better today." Start small, with one positive step towards
self-care.
"I deserve to be treated with kindness and compassion,
especially by myself. I choose to be gentle with myself in times of
distress."
"I am not alone in this. Some people care about me and want to support me through this struggle."
"My worth is not defined by my struggles or mistakes. I am inherently valuable just as I am."
"I have the power to choose how I respond to this situation. I choose
to respond with love and understanding towards myself."
"I acknowledge my pain, but I also acknowledge my capacity for healing and growth. I am worthy of healing."
"I forgive myself for any past mistakes or shortcomings. I choose to let go of self-blame and embrace self-compassion."
Keep up the good work, get 4 or 5 free Listener's on 7 Cups until you find the amount of support you need. Also, don't hesitate calling a crisis line, they are there for more than absolute crisis. Those calls really made a big difference in my mental health journey about 5+ years ago. I now take proper meds, have 2 online therapists, have a caseworker, and supportive friends now. That didn't happen overnight, it took some efforts but I am here to tell you You can overcome this bad habit as soon as we learn to control our emotions, and stop allowing our emotions to control us. Learn all you can and you will see how beneficial being self-aware, and balanced again. I hope you feel better soon. Get into a few hobbies, and focus! I hope things start making better sense to you as you learn what makes the human mind happy and peaceful.
Blessings, Day
@juliak1968 oh wow I didn't expect such a long and caring message. Thank you so much for your effort, it really helped me! I will remember these quotes and tell myself when I need it. 💜
@Marie142011
I'm really very happy to help. I suffered severely between 2017 and about 2022.
These past 5 years I've had 2 therapists, a case manager, 2 online art groups, and 7Cups (4 to 6 times per day). I am here to tell you that Self-Care is where you start and treat yourself awesome and you will begin to feel so much better. You'll have an epiphany moment and realize your whole perception will change, your view of the world will brighten, and you will catch your second wind! Remember not to let yourself ruminate racing thoughts, fight back the anxiety by occupying your time wisely. We cannot feel anxiety while heavily focused on something we enjoy and background music helps a lot too. Don't let the small crap rent any space in your head,
and remember;
"Those that mind, don't matter
and
Those that matter, don't mind"
Have a great day because today is the first day to the rest of your life!
Blessings, Day
