TW- Relapse
TW-
I was self-harm-free for about 6 years, but a little over 2 months ago, I started again. Little things at first, before I started cutting again. I want help and support, but I don't have anyone to turn to for support. It's honestly gotten a lot worse recently. More often and deeper. I didn't really intend for it to get this bad this fast again, but I can't stop. originally I had told myself, "Just one more time," because I was so overwhelmed and stressed, but now it's every day, and I'm not sure how to stop this time. If anyone has any other ways that may help, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
@humorousLake4276 In my experience, self-harm is one of the hardest things to stop. It creeps into everything, and becomes the sole reliever of stress.
Which is precisely why you have to make it your last-ditch effort. I have been working on my self-harm by finding different ways to relieve stress. Talking with friends, finding something new, going to the library, and taking a walk. And I'll admit, even if I do all of these things, sometimes it doesn't relieve stress like I need. But the important part is that I force myself to do everything I possibly can before I rely on self-harm.
The journey is always hard. But you seem like a tough and kind person. I believe in you.
