Is this self harm?

Hello, I might be in the wrong place but I was wondering if hitting or punching yourself counts as self harm. When I get a wave of anxiety, I lash out and hit myself in the head. I hit pretty hard at this point. My parents get really upset when I do it. Would this be characterized as self harm? Thanks
