My grievances with group chats

Hello,

I've been an active user on the group community rooms for quite some time now. Hopefully, my experience reflects that of many others.

Simply put, group chats are a mess, sometimes very unsupporttive, and even unwelcoming.

Unsupportive Behavior

This seems to be rampant; this ranges from those being accusatory of others for no reason, being toxic, etc. Moderation in the chats seems to be doing little to prevent this.

Roleplaying

Why is roleplaying even allowed? It makes users like myself very unconfortable, and, prevents us from using rooms like Teen Community Room and Support 24/7.

Events

This includes events like sharing circle, healthy habits, icebreakers, etc. Users will join, without context, and will normally be scared away simply by not knowing it's an organized event, or by not knowing the guidelines.

There should be built-in features for indivudial events, so users, for example, can click a button on the screen that tells them the guidelines and setup.

Rooms cannot handle a large flow of users.

I think this is very self-explanatory. I waited for hours for support room 24/7 to slow down, but users kept coming. There should be multiple rooms for both support and lighthearted chat. For example. Support Room #1, #2, or more.

These four things are reasons I am slowly starting to abandon group chats, as well as many others.

7Cups has so much potential with this, but, it feels unnoticed.
