Sad and trying to understand

Over a week ago, I was on my listener account, and in the middle of trying to support someone who was in crisis, my account suddenly said it was Unnapproved.

Right before this I had been private messaged from another listener who -when I asked if they were ok -said they just wanted to say Hello. I explained I was helping someone and didn't want to not give that person undivided attention- and if they were OK I was going to let them go.

Moments later my listener account was blocked. I filled out the form asking for a review and to be reinstated, but have yet to be told why my account was blocked nor given any feedback on why is was blocked in the first place. I had a good rating as a listener, obviously was not able to be effective with 100% of the people I spoke to, but always did my best. I started as a listener because I came here in crisis one time and received the help and support I needed and wanted to give back.

I feel like the site is not doing it's job if my listener account was just deleted with zero reason or feedback, and no warning if there was some offense I had committed. To make it worse, it happened MID CONVERSATION with someone in crisis. That does not seem to be in integrity for either of us.

I let some time pass to see if my request for review would ever be responded to, or if I would ever be given any feedback as to WHY my listener account was unapproved.

This really makes me feel like the site is not doing what it was created to do, and I would like some follow up.

On checking, I found many many similar complaints from other listeners, many who got reinstated but only after posting in the forum as well.... I am feeling kind of betrayed and let down by what I thought was a site about support and helping others. Being "Neighbors" of the kind that doesn't exist so much any more in the modern day and letting people all over the world know that THEY are not weird nor are they alone- and that things will get better.

Makes me sad.
