A Forum Guide to Discussing Global Events
At the heart of 7 Cups is one simple, powerful mission: to provide a safe and supportive space where everyone can be heard.
When major events unfold on the world stage, the emotions we feel—anxiety, grief, hope, or confusion—are real and deserve a space to be shared. To stay true to our mission, we ask that you share from the heart by focusing on your feelings, not political opinions.
This is how we live our mission together:
✅ Share Your Emotional Experience. Your feelings are valid, and sharing them is why we're here. This is what a supportive, feelings-focused post looks like:
"I'm feeling so much grief and sadness about the conflict I'm seeing on the news."
"Seeing people help each other during this crisis gives me a sense of hope."
"The uncertainty of everything is making me feel really anxious and overwhelmed."
❌ Avoid Political or Religious Advocacy. To ensure everyone feels safe, we cannot allow posts that aim to persuade, debate, or promote a specific agenda.
Political slogans, flags, campaign materials, or telling others what they should believe or do. Posts of this nature will be deleted. This also includes profiles, bios, and pfps.
Our purpose is to listen and offer compassion, not to host debates. When conversations shift from sharing feelings to political advocacy, the space is no longer about emotional support. It can create conflict and make members feel judged, isolated, or unsafe, which goes against everything we stand for.
Thank you for helping us protect this community. By focusing on our shared human emotions, you preserve 7 Cups as a sanctuary for healing and connection for everyone. ❤️
