Group support chats
I joined 7 cups some months back. I found it helpful, as a place to help and receive help. Though as days progessed i found one issue which made a lot of users feel negelcted and less aided. I think 7 cups is equal to everyone, everyone deserves help, yet i cannot understand why people have the need to show dominancy in group support chats. This leaves people less cared and more in a place of helplessness.I have read comments like" no one seem to care" or "can I ask for help here". The reason i'm making this forum is it has affected me a lot as well. Th room which i found to be caring now feels like a place of judging. I cannot imagine how others feel. I think the true cause of this site is fading away, even when someone talks about certain issue it is getting brushed off. I have faced it as well and felt helpless. Everyone is free do what they like, but the moment we forget why we are here that is not alright. This is entirely my opinion, i'm not blaming anyone or pointing my finger. Can I get some advice on how to go about this? I apologize as I'm not trying to offend anyone!!

Hmmm...
I will admit that I am fairy new to this site/app but I have noticed this issue in the short time I have been here. I am not sure what the mods of this site are doing to address this issue, especially since it can be a hard one to address. However, I do this that the community of this site CAN do some things to help - just some ideas that came to mind.
I feel as though this issue may have arised as a sort of side effect of the people that have used this site consistently for a long time. They get to know each other and they form a sort of friendship with each other, a form of connection that makes it very easy for the new comers to feel left out of. And this in itself can cause a lot of negative effects on the people coming here seeking help, support, and guidance. I am not saying that what they are doing is right in any way or trying to come up with excuses for their behaviour - that is not my intention whatsoever! I am just trying to figure out where they are coming from because if we understand this, then it makes it easier to come up with a solution. And as I always say, understanding is forgiving. heh.
This being said, I think everyone as a community can help address this issue. The more we join the support groups, and give our attention to everyone - INCLUDING those are seem to be ignored or unheard - the harder it is for people to ignore them. Afterall, how much can you ignore someone who is getting the attention of others/the majority of the group. As more and more members do this, I feel as though it could help address the issue - and maybe even diminish it entirely with a group effort. In hopes that the amount of people who acknowledge this issue, and attempt to spread their attention throughout the entire group outnumbers those who are either intentionally or unintentionally being selective with their attention. And as more and more attention is given throughout the whole group, hopefully more people will join in, especially if it becomes the more dominant ... lacking word here... topic? Of the group chat.
Just throwing out some ideas and thoughts!
Thank you for reading this, I hope you have a good day ^_^
