Thanks to everyone who was able to make the Way of the River session today! The discussion was intended to introduce the series through live guidance using the content from Part 1. I will recap what we covered for those who couldn't be there.

There is an old saying that you can never step into the same river twice. This is because the water is constantly flowing, and by the time you step back in, you are a different person than you were before. Think about a challenge you are facing right now. Often, we treat these challenges like rocks in our way. We wish they were not there. But in the Way of the River, we learn that the rock is not an obstacle. The rock is actually part of the path.

When we stop fighting the fact that life is changing, we can finally start to navigate. This is the core of Part 1. It is about moving from resistance to flow.

Answer this question in your reply below:
Let's take a look at the water around you today. If you had to describe your current situation which one would it be?

  • Calm Waters: You feel like you are moving with ease.
  • The Rapids: Things are moving fast, and it feels a bit overwhelming.
  • The Eddy: You feel like you are spinning in circles or stuck in one place.
  • Or some other depiction entirely!

The river of life brings us smooth, deep, and troubled waters. Thankfully, we do not paddle alone. We find other kayakers on the water who also teach us lessons. Most of the lessons come down to following the current rather than insisting on our own plans. This key lesson is a lifetime lesson.

  • If you’d like to go deeper with the content in a group setting, I recommend applying to join our community room. This is where we take these ideas and use them to support each other through our daily lives. We do check-ins every weekday to help each other stay in the flow. You can join at any time, at any part in the series in which you're at in your reading! Apply here.

We concluded the session with an AMA. If you have any questions about the series, how to get through it. etc. feel free to ask in the comments below!
