I confused with my subjects
Hey Pretty people ,
I'm Twinkle. I am new in this community. I am in 10th from India . I want to pursue career in psychology. But I am confused with what subjects and stream I should choose.
I am confused if psychology would be efficient with Science stream or Humanities.
Also I am really into both ECC and biology so am also not able to decide between the two .
I am really inexperienced in choosing between chooses lol and not courageous enough to ask to someone I know about more information .
So I hoped if someone who is experienced and know about it could be a help .
So I hope I get the support I want here .
Thanks in advance
@ASPIRINGCOUNSELOR Hi Twinkle, great to hear about your aspirations. I am in my fourth year of studying undergraduate-level psychology in Canada, so feel free to ask me any questions ☺️
@magicalTree4461 Hi and thanks for replying . What are the subjects that you are studying with psychology?
@ASPIRINGCOUNSELOR I study psychology in Canada, where most undergraduate programs are experimental psychology-based. That means it is just based around empirical research. Lots of different fields of psychology exist in Canada, including health, personality, social, forensic, cognitive and developmental. People taking a typical psychology degree here take a wide range of psychology courses relating to these fields, and courses about research methods and statistics. It is also necessary to take courses in other fields to meet "breadth" requirements. The degree can be completed with a thesis or by completing a project.
@magicalTree4461 that's cool . In which field are you interested?
Cognitive psychology
@magicalTree4461 that's good . What are you subjects while you're studying about it ?
It may give me a idea of if psychology is mostly science based or social studies based.
Psychology is definitely an empirical science.

Picking subject areas is really tricky and seeing what fits and doesn't fit makes it even harder!!
I don't know much about how other school systems work, but I am willing to learn to help you!!
