Motivation to get a technology certification?

Hey.

So I made another post within the Student Support Community that kind of ties into this post. I just wanted to go ahead and post this so people wouldn't think I'm spamming the communities or anything of that nature.

I guess I need some help and motivation. I'm currently taking a technology class where we're supposed to learn about Networking hardware, commands, and things of that sort. But all year long I've been doing horrible. Unfortunately, I am guilty of this - but I was so lost, that I was at the point where I did have to cheat. But now it's second semester, and I've forced myself to not do that because I know I'm not learning.

Anyhow, in the class we're required to earn an IT certification. And if we don't get it, it'd be embrassing because everyone almost gets it. And if you don't get it, then they'll start wondering what you were doing all year long in the class. And I would be ashamed and truly embarsased if I didn't get it.

I've already attempted for the exam once, but I failed it. I have a study guide, which many people say will help you. And I firmly believe it will, as the success rate with it is almost 99%.

And the great thing about the certification is that you can put it on your resume, or job application when you're going to work somewhere. And it is a really valuable asset I'd like to obtain as well.

I guess I just need help getting motivated to earn it. Does anyone have any advice?

Thank you in advance.

:)
