Busy, Busy, Busy

I am almost ready to graduate from high school! But what happens after that? Well, many things. Gap year, straight into the workforce, college, things like that. Everyone chooses their own path, the one that works best for them. 

The path I chose is college. I want to be an elementary teacher. I grew up being told I would never make it to college, never be smart enough, never get into one, never be able to afford it, etc. But I never let it get me down for long! I had a dream, and was ready to strive for it. So I recently began the journey of applying for colleges, and got into the one I wanted (won't be saying the name on here.) I am so ecstatic to have been accepted!

But how will I pay? I asked myself this question a lot, and finally decided. I'm going to get a job the summer before I go to college and earn as much money as I can. I have also applied for FASFA, and other scholarships! All of this on top of normal high school schoolwork has definitely been a challenge, and I have definitely been a very busy bee. 

But what if I regret this path later? I asked this question to myself a lot as well, but I looked back on my life leading up to this point and I believe that every rapid, and bump in the road has led me to where I am now. I went to military school. Wasn't fun, but we did service to community there, and that gave me volunteer work hours that I can use for scholarships now! So everything has a purpose in the end, even if it is a little hard to see at first.
