Exams in a week and I genuinely can't make myself study. What is wrong with me?
I have a bunch of exams starting next week, and I'll have 1 or 2 exams every day for two weeks, except on weekends. The most important subjects are in the first week too, but I just can't get myself to start studying.
What's weird is that I don't even feel proper panic anymore. I know I should be scared, but it's like my brain has just checked out. Every day ends with me promising I'll start tomorrow, and tomorrow looks exactly the same.
My exams are only a week away, and instead of feeling motivated by the pressure, I just feel numb. My brain keeps reminding me that I'm running out of time, but my body refuses to cooperate.
I genuinely feel like such a failure. I have a university I want to get into, a goal I want to achieve, and a career I want to pursue. But the thought of having to study to achieve those things just makes me even more stressed.
I can't help thinking about it, either. I hate studying. Of course, I know I don't have to enjoy it. I just can't seem to get myself to start. I've tried everything.
What if I'm genuinely just lazy? Or what if I'm simply incapable of achieving anything? I honestly don't know anymore.
I really want someone to hear me out, but no matter who I talk to, I never feel satisfied with the conversation. I never feel any more motivated to study, not even a little.
What is actually wrong with me? Why is being a student so hard? Or am I the one making it harder than it needs to be? I feel absolutely awful.

Okay, first of all there's nothing wrong with you!, this is pretty common in us students but most of the time the upcoming deadlines Kickstarter the panic. I used to have a similar problem but not quite, I wouldn't study because I was way too afraid to fail, or not now enough that I would keep in delaying it until the day before and exam ( no joke ) then I'll spend that day and night studying like my future was on the line because it was, plus I hate failure so that alone pressured me to do something, but what is truely on your mind, I think you are feeling this numb because you experienced great disappointment lately that just turned you off, the most direct way to deal with it in my opinion is to acknowledge what you think hurt you and know that doesn't make you any less valuable and amazing then try to get back into your books, even if you have to force yourself to watch a lecture, practice past papers, or just reciting the information you already know- these steps greatly helped me, hope it does the same for you!
